I like the physical netbook, the keyboard and its ease of finding wireless networks and its battery life. These are very good. But it doesn’t have Word, it doesn’t have Excel! Who’s idea was it to leave these off? I haven’t been able to use it much because of this. It has so much other senseless, useless stuff. I don’t want McAfee and the other stupid software they include for photos, etc. What’s the idea of loading up computers these days with rubbish? I don’t need doo-dads. Just a machine I can work with. Sure you could play around and wipe it and re-load it with what you want. But that doesn’t make it ready for use when it’s purchased. If it came with good software, it would be excellent.

So I bought this on day 1 of its availablity on amazon for 475$ including 2 days shipping. I was expecting a special netbook since I was paying so much (the acer of similiar size and configuration costs 350$). It turns out to be a very pretty looking net book.
Pros: Good looks(may be best in netbooks), no finger prints, king size keyboard for a netbook, Light weight (like any other netbook)
Cons: Expensive(extra 75$ for same configuration), Average performance ( same as any net book)
I am yet to test battery.
The sound is as good as my previous acer netbook. I dont know why they made so big deal about it. May be it was poor quality in previous samsung netbooks.
Conclusion: A netbook is a netbook. Dont expect a powerful netbook by paying extra. Wait for dual core chip on netbook. The money you are paying extra here is for keyboards and looks. There is no built in home theatre in this one.

I would have loved to have written a positive review, however my N120-12GW was dead on arrival. Hard drive light would light up, you could feel it coming to life but, alas, black screen of death.

I was very excited when I received this item. It looks great and has pretty much everything a laptop should, in a smaller size.
The PROs: Sound and keyboard.
The CONs: Heavier and slower than expected.

I was very interested in this laptop because of the good reviews and keyboard size. I also liked the battery life particularly on the blue model. However the first one I received right out of the box the screen didn’t work. I tried again thinking I got a damaged one that happens on occasion. The second one I received worked great until the initial battery charge was up and I had to plug it into the AC charger. It would not power off of the AC charger. The charger was working fine but it would not power the laptop. A five for Amazon and why I shop here refunds with no problem.
